Offinso Partners in Sustainable Development is a registered non-governmental organization involved in community mobilization, education and training. Based in Offinso in the Ashanti region of Ghana, OPSD was formed in September 1999.
We believe in the power of people, this is why we want to connect them.
Our Mission
Our mission is to bring communities together in designing and implementing effective strategies to ensure judicious natural resource use, to promote gender equality, to reduce social disparity and to secure a fair development of all parties.

Our Vision
OPSD exists to promote community understanding and participation in sustainable social development throughout the Offinso municipality.
Our Purpose
1. To become an institution capable of developing the business potentials and opportunities of the less-privileged people so that they will self-reliant and contribute to the society at large.
2. To serve as information, business advisory and resource center for people in communities and other organizations in development.
Our Objectives
1. To offer training and business support base for the identified serious needs in the communities.

2. To offer assistance to poverty stricken people in the communities to become self sufficient.
3. To establish a regular income, large enough to provide for their own living expenses and those of their families.

4. To find solution to disadvantaged psycho-social problem and offer jobs and professional skilled training to the less privileged.
5. To extend the exchange program for young artisans between Germany and Ghana.
6. To organize citizen engagement.
7. To campaign in a sustainable environmental sanitation practices

I am passionate about fighting social disparties and offering everybody a chance to get involved into society. This is why I founded OPSD. I want to make a change with my organisation. It is important to me.

AKIZ is our German partnerorganisation when it comes to international and intercultural cooperation.
FIRST STEP
Foundation
This partner is also located in Offinso. They are offering services for women who want to get into business. We work closely togeht.
Bildungswerkstatt Georgsmarienhütte
This partner in Germany was offering us the possibility to welcom aprentice in metal work in 2017 and 2018.
Nana Ama Serwaa Nyarko Preparatory School
Is a school in Offinso we run and build up with our German partner AKIZ.
Offinso Municipality
We understand OPSD also as an possibility to influence the local politics. It is also important for us to work with the local authorities to ensure our profit for the municipality.
ASA-Program
Through ASA we are getting German interns for three months every year. They support the organisation and experience the ghanian culture.
Methodist Rural Technology Facility
The German aprentice work here. MRTF is also our important partner wehen it comes to our stove project.
